With State and Federal support along with regional cooperation, our regional transportation infrastructure is receiving some much needed attention. Yesterday I participated in a tour of local projects on a new LTD's all electric bus with a group of elected officials and staff from Lane County, Eugene, Springfield, Coburg, LTD, LCOG, and Oregon Department of Transportation. I sat with ODOT Director Kris Strickler during lunch and was able gain some valuable insight into the future of our State’s transportation work. 

It was encouraging to see the work being done, see jobs being created and talk about our future. As the Vice Chair of our Metropolitan Planning Committee, which works on our region’s transportation issues, it was encouraging to see how well our local governments work together!
